Abstract

The study analyzes the “Culture of the Northeast” Digital Educational Resources (MADE), linking school curricula to regional culture and seeking to understand its potential as an interdisciplinary approach facilitated by digital technologies. The research investigated how Digital Educational Resources can contribute to an education that is both contextualized and rooted in identity. The qualitative and exploratory research revealed student engagement, student agency, and the integration of knowledge with local culture.

Author Biographies

Maria Viviane dos Santos, Federal University of Ceará (UFC), Graduate Program in Educational Technology (PPGTE), Fortaleza, Ceará, Brazil.

She holds a degree in Education from the Federal University of Ceará (UFC, 2011), with a specialization in Educational Management from the State University of Ceará (UECE, 2013). She is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Educational Technology at UFC and has been a permanent teacher in the municipal school system of Fortaleza since 2012, with experience in Early Childhood Education and the early years of Elementary Education.

Ana Karla de Sousa Cunha Jatai , Federal University of Ceará (UFC), Graduate Program in Educational Technology (PPGTE), Fortaleza, Ceará, Brazil.

She holds a bachelor's degree in Pedagogy from the Federal University of Ceará (UFC, 1988). She is currently a teacher in the municipal school system of Fortaleza, with experience in education, particularly in teaching methods and techniques, pedagogical practices, and inclusive education. She is pursuing a Master's degree in Educational Technology at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC), with research focused on the use of digital technologies in inclusive educational contexts.

 

Daniel Brandão Menezes, State University of Ceará (UECE); Graduate Program in Teaching (RENOEN/UFC); Graduate Program in Educational Technology (PPGTE/UFC), Fortaleza, Ceará, Brazil.

He holds a Ph.D. in Brazilian Education from the Federal University of Ceará (UFC), with postdoctoral studies in Brazilian Education (UFC) and Teaching (RENOEN/UFC). He earned a Master's degree in Mathematics from UFC and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics Education from the State University of Ceará (UECE). He is a professor and researcher at the State University of Ceará (UECE), working in graduate programs in the fields of Teaching and Educational Technologies. His research focuses on pedagogical and technological innovation in teacher education, supervising PIBIC and PIBITI scholarship holders funded by CNPq and FUNCAP. He is the leader of the Research Group on Education, Technology and Teacher Education (UECE). He also serves as an educational consultant for the World Bank and coordinates extension and teacher training projects in the field of educational assessment.

Edgar Marçal de Barros Filho , Federal University of Ceará (UFC), Graduate Program in Educational Technology (PPGTE)

He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Federal University of Ceará (UFC, 2016), where he also earned his Master's degree (2005) and Bachelor's degree (1997). He has been a professor at UFC since 2009, with technical and scientific experience in the field of Computer Science, particularly in Software Engineering. His main research interests include application development, mobile learning, multimedia systems, mobile computing, and mobile devices.

Luciana de Lima, Federal University of Ceará (UFC), Graduate Program in Educational Technology (PPGTE)

She holds a Ph.D. in Education from the Federal University of Ceará (UFC, 2014) and a Master's degree in Education from the State University of Ceará (UECE, 2008). She earned a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from UFC (1994) and holds specializations in Psychopedagogy (UVA, 2003), Technology with an emphasis on Telematics (CEFETCE, 2006), and Entrepreneurial Education (Faculdade Sebrae, 2025). She is an Associate Professor at UFC, affiliated with the Virtual University Institute (IUVI), and works in the Graduate Programs in Science and Mathematics Education (ENCIMA) and Educational Technology (PPGTE). She is the leader of the Tecnodocência Research Group (CNPq). Her research focuses on teacher education, with an emphasis on technodocence, digital technologies, meaningful learning, interdisciplinarity, and Science and Mathematics Education.
