Abstract

The experience in monitoring and organizing the Scientific Committee of the Distance Higher Education Congress (ESUD) and the Distance Higher Education International Congress (CIESUD) has demonstrated the importance of registering and supporting the local commissions, responsible for organizing these events each year. . The performance of UniRede representatives on the Scientific Committee and the team from the Federal University of Piauí in 2019 led to the systematization of procedures and the generation of guidelines. The experience with the use of the Journal and Event Management System (JEMS) of the Brazilian Computing Society (SBC) is presented here, adopted as a space for submission, evaluation and registration of papers submitted to ESUD, as well as the steps followed for the organization of the event in 2019 from the customization of the JEMS to the execution of the presentations and subsequent preparation of the annals, aiming to support new editions of the event.
