Abstract

Our objective was to induce reflections on the ruptures and meanings that the use of Distance Education brings in the Professional Education. Searching contribute to the knowledge generation, we developed a text in essay form, bringing reflections on the relational space of distance technical courses at the Sul-rio-grandense Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology (IFSul). We present events, ideas and theorized reflections that combine the discipline teacher, distance education and the institution. Finally, this essay serves those who wish to venture into the distance education application, breaking with the institutional culture, reinventing themselves in educational praxis and, mainly, in the understanding that distance education is far from being conceived in a representational view of reality.
